Damien McVey’s career in building didn't start in an office; it began on the active construction sites of Donegal. As a primary school student, Damien spent his weekends and evenings learning from his uncles, Danny and Tommy, as they developed local homes. It was through this direct, hands-on involvement that he developed a lifelong passion for construction - an interest that would eventually lead him across the globe and back home again.

Engineering Excellence
Damien first earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering, providing him with a rigorous understanding of structural integrity and technical precision.
Mastering the Craft
He returned to his roots in construction, honing his skills as a Carpenter until the recession shifted his path toward education.
Community Roots
After a stint in the Australian construction industry, Damien returned to Donegal in 2016 to teach engineering at Mulroy College, remaining a fixture in local renovations and small builds.
The Birth of Mulroy Management & Construction
In early 2025, a turning point arrived. With the North West facing a housing crisis due to the defective concrete situation, Damien saw a community in need of more than just builders—they needed advocates and experts they could trust.
Leveraging his unique blend of engineering knowledge and carpentry skill, he founded Mulroy Management & Construction Ltd. Named after the iconic Mulroy Bay, the company was built on a simple promise: to treat every project with undivided attention and to bring genuine value to homeowners during their most stressful times.

Today, Damien leads a dedicated full-time team and a network of trusted local subcontractors. Though we have grown, our approach remains personal. We limit the number of projects we take on to ensure that when we are on your site, you have our full focus.
